Terms of Service

Effective: October 3, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hire the Cat, including token research tools, Cat Watch monitoring, creator tools, saved projects, account features, and paid subscription plans.

1. Who can use Hire the Cat

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your account secure.

2. What the service does

Hire the Cat provides software tools that organize and summarize public blockchain, token, market, and project information. Features may include Quick Scan, Deep Scan, Cat Watch, watchlists, alerts, creator tools, project analysis, and other tools added over time.

3. Not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice

Hire the Cat is an informational and software service. It does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, brokerage, custody, or fiduciary advice. A token scan, alert, score, summary, warning, or absence of a warning is not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or avoid any asset.

Crypto markets are volatile and blockchain data can be incomplete, delayed, mislabeled, or change quickly. Automated analysis cannot prove that a token is safe, legitimate, or free from scams, exploits, insider activity, liquidity problems, or other risks. You are responsible for your own decisions and should independently verify important information.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Hire the Cat will never need your wallet seed phrase or private key to provide the service. Do not submit private keys, seed phrases, passwords, or other credentials into token scanners, project fields, or support messages.

5. Paid subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until canceled. The price and plan shown at checkout control the amount charged. Features and usage limits for each plan are shown on the pricing page and may be updated prospectively.

You can manage your payment method or cancel an active subscription through the Manage Billing button in your dashboard. Stripe will show whether a cancellation takes effect immediately or at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Hire the Cat to break the law; probe, attack, overload, scrape, or disrupt the service; bypass usage limits or access controls; automate abusive requests; impersonate another person; distribute malware; or use the service to obtain or expose another person’s private credentials.

7. Third-party services and data

Hire the Cat relies on third-party services and data sources, including authentication, payment processing, hosting, blockchain infrastructure, and market-data providers. Those services can be delayed, unavailable, inaccurate, or changed by their operators. We do not control third-party networks, token contracts, exchanges, liquidity pools, wallets, or websites.

8. Availability and changes

We may modify, add, suspend, or remove features, limits, integrations, or plans. We aim to keep paid functionality available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Maintenance, provider outages, blockchain congestion, rate limits, and security issues may affect service availability.

9. Intellectual property

The Hire the Cat name, site design, original graphics, software, copy, and Unemployed Cat branding are owned by or licensed to the service operator except where otherwise stated. You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to the limited rights needed for us to process that content and provide the requested service.

10. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, providers, or legal compliance, including for abuse, fraud, chargeback abuse, attempts to bypass limits, or material violations of these Terms.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hire the Cat is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that token data, alerts, analyses, uptime, or results will be complete, accurate, timely, profitable, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hire the Cat and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or speculative damages, including trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, token losses, or losses caused by third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we make material revisions. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
